I have to admit, I’m not the ground-breaker amongst my friends when it comes to trends. Rushing out and getting the very latest must-have lamp or textile isn’t a big priority for me.

I usually wait to see how a trend lands and then decide whether it will have any roots in my home.

One pattern that I love (strong & graphic) but have been resisting, is Zig Zag.

Yesterday my family left Toronto to meet up with my parents in Mexico. We’ve been to this house before- a lovely, rambling villa in the mountains, but I had forgotten about its décor.

Namely…the pots. Throughout the house are these fab blue and white Zig Zag pots. A few are striped or have a graphic checkerboard, but for the most part Zig Zag is the pattern of choice.

I’m hooked- need some Zig Zag in my life.
