I love quirk as much as the next gal, but also find (with a busy family home to run) that quiet decorating suits me just fine. As easy to live with as a classic camel trench, décor with neutral colour can be a girl’s best friend. Remember anything in numbers makes great impact, but it really is the subtle lack of colour that makes the 3 ideas below very livable.

Trench: SEE by Chloe

The faded beauty in these books- (all in the same palette) is striking en masse; it doesn’t hurt that the ceiling is also drop dead gorgeous.

Used for its texture, this indoor woodpile acts as artful sculpture. (Hmm maybe a prospective new kitten would be too busy with all this wood- and leave the furniture scratching at bay)

We see art walls a lot, but again the simplicity in colour and subject in this hallways collection feels light and considered, not busy and graphic as many collections can.

It’s simple really, all in the editing.
