Yesterday I did what most families do this time of year… travel.

Not too far, but far enough on a school night with the kids. Christmas dinner with my husband’s family. Driving out of the city I was longing to see snow (it’s been unseasonably warm in Toronto) I like a good country drive- but especially when the landscape has changed so much- the bare trees, the purple grey shadows, and odd beige coloured fields, It’s all quite inspiring really- in a lovely minimalist sort of way.

We got a taste of winter to come, and drove through a little town with a fresh dust of snow.

It’s nice to find joy in simple things this time of year.

Enjoy the season and have a great Holiday.
