Found is thrilled to announce our next picker. Toronto-based textile designer Bev Hisey has joined forces with us to sell some great pieces on our store (her finds go live on Monday, November 14th). We think she is a terrific addition for our shoppers, as Bev brings a little something different to the store. We all like bashed and beaten, old and gritty, and subtle colour. Bev loves bold colour, strong graphics, fresh and friendly motifs, and things that would be considered more modern or contemporary than our usual finds. Just look at the fully laden table she had in wait for us.
You no doubt know Bev’s name from her gorgeous rugs and pillows that have graced many magazine spreads in Canada, the US and beyond (Bev Hisey). But have you seen her home in Chatelaine magazine? Similar to her picks for our store, Bev’s house is filled with cheeky objects, vibrant pops of colour against sleek white and very creative ideas for display. Take a look below at Bev’s own place. You will definitely see the connection between her house and what she has picked for Found.
In fact, one of our favourite things in Bev’s house is her wall of record albums … something she has collected and turned into an art installation, for lack of a better word. And lucky us, Bev has created another album cover collection that she will sell has a complete piece on our store. What a great way to fill a wall, and much cheaper than an oversized piece of art.
