It’s officially Fall. I feel like I’ve had the oven on steady now for the past few weekends. 10 people over for Thanksgiving recently, and the week before that, a big Roast with good friends. I don’t know about you, but when I sit down to the table I like to sit. Not hopping up for this and that, everything at hand. Digging through my dishes, I had an “A Ha” moment. I warmed an old teapot and used it to serve gravy- have to say I’m kind of In love with the idea now. It keeps the gravy warm, allows me to serve lots (So I don’t have to get up) and is easy to pour (no drips). Now I won’t do this for every meal, as it could be odd if you’re going fancy. But mixed with old ironstone and brass flatware this banged up beauty has earned its place in my cupboard.
