One of the best parts of flea marketing is the snacking — farm stands, diners and roadside pie shops all figure prominently. So imagine my happiness when I discovered that the ice cream stand at the Aberfoyle flea market sells a favourite flavour from my childhood, Tiger Tail. It is a weird combination of orange and licorice creams and I have been told that it is still sold today only to satisfy nostalgics like me, not because of the taste. I strongly disagree. This is one tasty concoction, a flavour for the ages as far as I am concerned. Check out the size of a cone at Aberfoyle, a pint on a cone, yet still I somehow managed to eat it all. Obviously, only great flavour could push me to eat that much cream at once.

And it seems both Chapman’s (Tiger Tail)¬†and President’s Choice (Tiger Tail) agree that this is one tasty treat. Both have come out with new versions of the old favourite. So keep your eye out for a tub of this. Me, I am only going to indulge when I happen upon it, because to stock it in my freezer would be dangerous.
