Scoring great finds means driving lots of back roads, scouring the countryside for flea markets, antique malls and village yard sales. And great road trips need good music. Armed with Sirius Radio and my iPhone Shazam app, I have compiled some tunes that make for perfect driving playlists, and hobbled together a list of sorts for you. The key to a really good road trip playlist is that you are able to wail out the lyrics, top of your lungs-style, whether happy and bouncy (dance tunes) or moody and maudlin (unrequited love songs) and ’80s tunes fit that bill. Plus, so many of them are so lush sounding that the music absolutely fills your car (makes it easier to wail out those lyrics when you can’t really hear the sour notes you’re hitting). So if you see a crazy gal with a car filled of gack, seemingly singing at the top of her lungs, you will now know who I am.

Hope you enjoy the list, and if you want to make playlist suggestions, please do.
