You know it might be time to sell up and move when you aren’t thinking about little home redos, like a new paint job or a new-to-you drippy chandelier for the dining room, but you are in fact thinking about replacing exterior doors. What? I have become obsessed with Dutch Doors. I am starting to see them everywhere. You know how it goes, you decide you want short hair because no one has short hair, then you start actually noticing how many people are donning short hair, too many. Well, that is me, only with Dutch Doors (oh, and with short hair, blerg). I have decided my back door (which is a single glass door chosen to let in light) has no charm, zip, zero, totally lacking. But think about something like these:
What a great way to get spring/summer light and fresh air into the house. And how simple it would be to pass plates of things to guests who are lounging in the backyard. And how cute you would look talking to those guests from the kitchen, with the top door open and the bottom closed. Okay, so this could be a summer fling, because in February I would be cursing the solid wood door with no window for light, but let me dream just a little.
